Background
The health care cluster was formed to create a network of hospitals, training centers, clinics and other health-related services that will improve the competitiveness of the industry in central California, attract additional customers and suppliers to the region, and make central California a healthier region. There are many sectors that form this cluster, including acute care, specialty hospitals, doctors' and dentists' offices, pharmacists, mental health care, home health care and nursing/personal care facilities, as well as many supportive businesses such as suppliers, labs, and medical insurance companies.
